Wes Knoll joined the LCWater team in the fall of 2015. Wes is a 5th generation Colorado native from Evergreen, Colorado. Growing up in the cyclical drought of Colorado, Wes became interested in the role water had in shaping various Colorado communities. This interest led him to Montana State University where he majored in Political Science and minored in Water Resources. He then attended law school at the University of Oregon where he graduated with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. During law school Wes worked with the local municipal utility on water quality issues, with Trout Unlimited on water banking issues in Idaho, and assisted his water law professor, Adell Amos, with research and editing for Water Law in a Nutshell, 5th ed. Wes represents clients in matters including adjudication of new surface and groundwater rights, change of water rights, augmentation plans, purchase and sale of water rights, contracts, real property transactions, land use issues, and representation of special districts, municipalities, and not-for-profit corporations.
